Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

SSGM Journal of Science and Engineering - SSGMJSE is committed to ensuring the highest standards of publication ethics whereas the publication malpractice is strictly prohibited by all possible measure. Our responsibility is to publish original work of value to the intellectual community in the best possible form and to the highest possible standards. We expect similar standards from our reviewers and authors. Honesty, originality and fair dealing on the part of authors, and fairness, objectivity and confidentiality on the part of editors and reviewers are among the key values that enable us to achieve our goal.

SSGMJSE is committed to following best practices on ethical matters, errors, and retractions, and to provide judicial review if necessary.

Ethical guidelines for editors

  • The Editorial Board is responsible for making publication decisions for submitted manuscripts. The Editorial Board must disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • The Editorial Board must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content.
  • The Editorial Board must keep information pertaining to submitted manuscripts confidential.

Ethical guidelines for reviewers

  • Reviews should be conducted objectively. There shall be no personal criticism of the author.
  • In case, any reviewer feels that it is not possible for him/her to complete review of manuscript within stipulated time then the same must be communicated to the editors, so that the same could be sent to any other reviewer.
  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any evidence that had been previously reported elsewhere should be accompanied by the relevant citation.
  • Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors should be kept confidential and be treated as confidential information.

Ethical guidelines for authors

  • The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others this must be appropriately cited.
  • The authors should adhere to publication requirements that submitted work is original, is not plagiarized, and has not been published elsewhere.
  • The authors should aim to discuss their methods clearly and unambiguously so that their findings can be confirmed by others.
  • The authors should submit papers only on work that has been conducted in an ethical and responsible manner and that complies with all relevant legislation.
  • The authors present their results clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
  • A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to reproduce the work. Duplicitous or expressively inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are inappropriate.

Transfer of Copyright

SSGMJSE accepts manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration for publication by other print or electronic media. The authors agree to transfer the copyright to SSGMJSE editorial office.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If Author wish to cancel the publication with us after completing Final Submission / After Publication, As per Terms and Conditions of SSGMJSE which Author has accepted during Initial Submission and Final Submission and also in duly signed Author Copyright Form, Fee once deposited will not be refunded. Author is already given ample time to consider publishing with us or not before making Final Submission. Journal performs all the process promptly and on time for which it has to pay the cost too. Author may withdraw the paper and International research SSGM Journal of Science and Engineering - SSGMJSE will have no objection if said withdrawn article is published somewhere else.

Published Article will be removed from www.ssgmjournal.com and all possible Indexing Services without prior notice to Corresponding Author, if Copyright Claim / Plagiarism Claim are proven against it.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the act of copying someone’s prior ideas, processes, results or words without acknowledgement of the original author and source. The journal is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism in any form. Plagiarism is said to have occurred when large portions of a manuscript have been copied from existing previously published resources. All manuscripts submitted for publication in SSGM Journal of Science and Engineering - SSGMJSE are cross-checked using turntin plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to be plagiarized during initial stages of review are out-rightly rejected and not considered for publication in the journal. In case a manuscript is found to be plagiarized after publication, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct preliminary investigation, may be with the help of a suitable committee constituted for the purpose. If the manuscript is found to be plagiarized beyond the acceptable limits, the journal will contact the author’s Institute / College / University and Funding Agency, if any.

The following types of plagiarism are considered by SSGMJSE:

  1. Full Plagiarism:Previously published content without any changes to the text, idea and grammar is considered as full plagiarism. It involves presenting exact text from a source as one’s own.
  2. Partial Plagiarism:If content is a mixture from multiple different sources, where the author has extensively rephrased text, then it is known as partial plagiarism.
  3. Self-Plagiarism:When an author reuses complete or portions of their pre-published research, then it is known as self-plagiarism. Complete self-plagiarism is a case when an author republishes their own previously published work in a new journal.
  4. Self-Plagiarism:SSGMJSE shall take serious action against published manuscripts found to contain plagiarism and shall completely remove them from SSGMJSE website and other third party websites where the paper is listed and indexed. The moment, any article published in SSGMJSE database is reported to be plagiarized, SSGMJSE shall remove the PDF copy of the published manuscript from the website and disable all links to full text article. The term Plagiarized Manuscript shall be appended to the published manuscript title.

Authors can take the following steps to report plagiarism:

  • Notify the editor of the journal in which the plagiarized article is published.
  • Author can send the original and plagiarized articles with the plagiarized section highlighted.
  • If evidence of plagiarism is convincing, editor should ask the plagiarist to provide an explanation.
  • If there is no response or an unsatisfactory explanation within the time limit, the article must be permanently withdrawn.

I hereby declare that this piece of written work is the result of my own independent scholarly work, and that in all cases material from the work of others (in books, articles, essays, dissertations, and on the internet) is acknowledged, and quotations and paraphrases are clearly indicated. No material other than that listed has been used. This written work has not previously or not yet been published
